چکیده
Durability is that property of concrete which plays the prime role in governing lifespan and serviceability a structure with regard to its intended usage. Environmental conditions surroundings are main criteria decide longevity performance concrete. For understanding durability structures, analysis impact chemical attacks may be crucial. As sulphate predominant on their study can interpret it when they subjected deterioration followed by damage. In this study, effectiveness ternary blends OPC metokaolin (MK) flyash (FA) resistance exposed accelerated effect (i.e. wetting drying cycles) 10% solution sodium has been investigated. To assess level sulfate attack, changes strengths specimens weight change were measured after certain numbers cycles. Cubes, prisms cylinders tested for compressive, flexural splitting tensile respectively whereas (in percent) all specimens. Combination MK FA proved improving against attack.

A Study on Strength of Concrete With Partial Replacement Of Cement With Quarry Dust And Metakaolin
Concrete a composite material made from cement, water, fine aggregate and coarse aggregate. But present researchers are in interest of finding new cement materials by waste materials or waste products produced from industries which are harmful to environment. The present paper deals with partial replacement of cement with quarry dust and metakaolin which are having silica used as admixture for ...
متن کاملCorrosion Resistance Performance of Fly Ash Blended Cement Concretes
Durability of reinforced concrete with respect to corrosion of reinforcement is one of the major aspects to be considered in the management of civil infrastructure systems. An accelerated laboratory test method developed at SERC where the concrete specimen containing rebar is subjected to polarization under a constant voltage in a sodium chloride solution. It is found that the current response ...
متن کاملResistance of class C fly ash belite cement to simulated sodium sulphate radioactive liquid waste attack.
The resistance of class C fly ash belite cement (FABC-2-W) to concentrated sodium sulphate salts associated with low level wastes (LLW) and medium level wastes (MLW) is discussed. This study was carried out according to the Koch and Steinegger methodology by testing the flexural strength of mortars immersed in simulated radioactive liquid waste rich in sulphate (48,000 ppm) and demineralised wa...
متن کاملA study of Metakaolin and Silica Fume used in various Cement Concrete Designs
In the present study, effect of pozzolanic material (Metakaolin and Silica fume) is studied through compressive and Flexural strength in cement concrete. Metakaolin and silica fume area used as cement replacement materials at 5%, 10% and 15% by mass keeping water–cement ratio as 0.42 Compressive and Flexural strength were observed after 7 and 28 days of curing. Silica fume is a by products resu...
متن کاملRheology of Geopolymer: Comparative Study between Portland Cement and Metakaolin Based Geopolymer
Metakaolin based geopolymers are presented in many studies as an alternative to normal Portland cement. Previous studies have focused on their chemical and mechanical properties, their microstructures and their potential uses, but very few on their rheological behaviour. Our work highlights the main differences that exist between geopolymer and Portland cement. These materials behave as Newtoni...
